How the Pros Actually Evaluate a Playbook on Day One

Our creators are not reading tier lists, they are building them. This is the checklist they run in the first hours with a new game, and you can run it yourself right now:

Compression looks. Bunch, tight, and stack formations that stress man coverage and hide route releases. A book without them has a low ceiling in head-to-head.
The money page test. One formation with four or more plays you can cycle without subbing personnel. That is what lets you run tempo without telegraphing.
Motion and RPO count. How much pre-snap movement the book gives you to diagnose coverage before the ball is out.
Run-pass balance from the same look. The best books let you run and throw from identical formations so nothing on defense is a free read.
What got removed. The killer is always the formation that quietly left the book. Last year’s S tier with its best formation deleted is this year’s trap pick.
