What’s New to Madden Ultimate Team?

With all of the recent information being dropped into circulation the hype for Madden 17 is ramping up very quickly! There has literally been something different to get every segment of the Madden community excited for the drop of Madden 17. Madden Ultimate Team is always one of the most popular modes Madden has to offer and this looks to be the most exciting year yet. Just today there was the announcement that Madden had reached an agreement with Brian Urlacher and Mike Singletary to bring them back! It appears as though there will be a ton of legends added to the game this year. We can add Lawyer Milloy to that list as well. At the time of this article the other launch legends have not been announced as of yet but stay tuned for more information on Madden 17 legends as well.

New Flashbacks have been added to MUT for Madden 17! This year Madden has taken the approach of making Flashbacks based off of one game giving Billy, Guru and the team more flexibility in creating content for us. At the time of launch some Flashbacks that caught our eye are 89 overall Demarco Murray from week 7 in 2011, 89 Keenan Allen from week 1 in 2015 and 88 overall Jared Cook from week 16 of the 2011 season. The best part of Flashbacks for Madden 17 is you will have the opportunity to choose exactly which Flashback you want! Gone are the days of putting 10 elite badges among other things into a set and getting a Flashback that you have no interest in.

Another thing that has been changed for Ultimate Team in Madden 17 is Team Hero sets. This will be Madden 17’s take on Captain Sets. With this new set each team will have a monthly hero that can be earned by adding 5 gold, 10 silver and 10 bronze players of each individual team. At launch this will earn you an 85 overall elite player as well as a collectible that can be used towards the “Man of the Month.†To start the season a 92 overall Von Miller will be the set reward. Each month new content will coming to Madden Ultimate Team for both sets. Some Team Heroes that caught our eye at launch are David Johnson, Eric Reid, Telvin Smith, and Sam Shields.

Another change that is sure to make competitive players happy is the restructuring of the leaderboard. It appears rankings will be based off of quality of wins and record in a similar way to Salary Cap in this year’s game. Gone are the days of players with .500 records being in the top 10 of the Madden Ultimate Team standings RIP to DiegosRedRocket.

With this being just the tip of the iceberg of information for Madden Ultimate Team we have to applaud the team at EA for getting even more creative for Madden 17. If the gameplay matches the content it appears that Madden 17 is destined to be the best year of Madden yet. Stay tuned to the Turf Team for more information as it comes out. Personally I am looking forward to the announcement of season rewards, MUT Master and new legends coming to Madden 17 being released. Stay tuned for more information on MaddenTurf.com as we continue to give you the information you need to dominate in Madden 17!
