GUN TIGHT FLEX
INTRODUCTION:
We kick off Madden 19 with a very popular formation that can exploit short, deep, the sidelines, and just straight bomb our opponents. One difference you will see here is this guide focuses strictly on a single formation as opposed to multiple formations. The idea here is to allow complete mastery of a formation, and allow you to build a scheme completely by being able to choose which book you run.
Below you will find each play with its own section laid out within tabs. When possible we will also go over an advanced strategy that may require more adjustments, a complete understanding of the formation, or quicker fingers to complete the play. Make sure to learn the entire body of content to ensure that your offense is running on all cylinders.
So lets jump into it, and start learning The Gun Tight Flex Offense. Thanks for checking out the guide and be sure to tweet us @maddenturf or review us on http://facebook.com/maddenturf after you have gone through the guide to let us know your thoughts!
Gun Tight Flex
Bombs AwayOur early take on Madden 19 is that it is a game of high vs low reads. It’s the most basic concept in the game, but being able to master it can be difficult at times. What we present here is the best set of plays and setups that can help you exploit the adjustments your opponent is making. It’s not about “run this vs cover 3” and more about, you can run these any time and still gash a defense.
Please watch the overview video as we cover a few things, but mainly we show you how to get this formation using 4 wide receivers. This also allows you to have 4 wide receivers when you audible which puts a WR at the TE spot. Very fun, and very glitchy.

BENEFITS OF TIGHT FLEX:
- Forces opposition to commit to running hard vs cloud flats
- Makes It Incredibly Difficult For Your Opponent To Play User Defense
- Offers the ability to have a WR at the TE position/li>
WEAKNESSES OF TIGHT FLEX:
- Lack of running plays
- Great Man Press Defense Can Limit Available Routes
- Blocking heat can be tricky at times
In this group of tabs we will go over the play PA Post Shot and a few different setups. This is our main play for the formation to attack deep and to the sidelines. One thing to keep in mind as well that since this is a play action play you will want to block your running back each time so that the QB does not carry out the play fake.

Any new plaus
Hey CC any new plays from the Tight Flex?
Double spot added.
That play is fire
What is your go to blitz beater from tight flex?
Double spot
Aye when we getting red zone plays? I am out here struggling!
Loving this formation. Not sure if I missed it but I cannot seem to stop the pinch dog blitz you covered in your d guide. Your d is so good it’s becoming the meta. I’m seeing it ALL over h2h and cannot pick it up out of tight flex. I’ve been switching to singleback in run and gun and don’t have a problem. What’s the move to stop the “tight” pinch dog blitz out of tight flex. I’ve been blocking my hb and sliding lines in all sorts of ways and cannot find the right move. Any help would be great. Glad to be on the turf team to this year.
best move is to slide away from the rb imo – one crux of tight formations is that they have trouble picking up big heat
Thanks, think that blitz may be my cryptonite in tight flex. Been trying to ID and sliding out of that form with no luck either. I tried titans for tight flex but think I prefer run and gun book. In flex run and gun doesn’t have PA post like titans but it has PA read that actually has one of the better crossing routes. Also can easily make a C3 one play td out of it. Obviously like last year it’s RnG singleback ace also is great to fall back. Tons of good forms in RnG
What Chems are you running CC on both offense and defense?
Go deep and lockdown
Is there a certain threshold that you are aware of for coverage like last year? Just wondering the reason behind the switch from balanced D
91 zone still the move imo
What do you guys think about the TUP stat this year? I want to get Wentz and use him for the foreseeable future but I see 72 TUP and am reluctant because of sheds and other things this year. Is it worth it to bypass the Wentz and pony up for a different QB to man the weekend league grind?
Feels real. Theres a threshold im sure and we dont know what is yet
Any more formations out of Titans playbook
Soon
Redzone help
I got you soon
Will more be added soon?
Working on something for redzone
Tried Titans Playbook and did not see pa post shot. Found it on Rams. Is there something missing?
It’s definitely in there. That’s what i am running.
Great content. Got a new starter scheme.
Awesome stuff guys can’t wait to get more.
