The rookie ratings have been released for the top ten Madden 16 rookies. With a new ratings maker in place at EA Sports, it is a fair statement to say that much of the Madden community was wondering what things would look like for this year’s game. Below you will find a list of the top five with some of their individual ratings as well.

Amari Cooper comes in at number one with an 82 overall rookie rating. Below you will find some of his individual ratings that have us believing he can make an instant impact on your Madden team.

  • 92 Speed
  • 94 Agility
  • 87 Catching

Jameis Winston comes in second with an 81 overall rating. This rating seems modest for the number one overall pick, until you look at some of his individual ratings and you realize that he is poised to be a great passer on Madden 16.

  • 95 Throw Power
  • 88 Short Accuracy
  • 81 Agility
  • 75 Strength
  • 73 Speed

Todd Gurley was one of our favorite rookies coming into Madden 16, collectively. One of the big question marks with him was what his rookie rating in the speed department would be. In our opinion he was cheated some, and we hope to see this rating go up quickly. Gurley comes in third with an 80 overall.

  • 80 Elusiveness
  • 91 Trucking
  • 89 Stiff Arm
  • 91 Carry

Leonard Williams comes in tied for third with an 80 overall rating. Everyone knew this was the defensive lineman to look out for going into the draft and Madden does not let us down one bit with his rookie rating. Below you will see the makings of a monster on the defensive side of the ball.

  • 87 Strength
  • 85 Power Move
  • 83 Pursuit
  • 82 Acceleration

Another player tied for third with an 80 overall is offensive lineman, Brandon Scherff. The redskins started a first round avalanche of OL picks, and Madden feels they took the best one. His rookie ratings are very evident that EA Sports believes he will be an important piece on the Washington offensive line for many years to come.
