Madden 17 Balling on a Budget!

If you have been following the earlier tips we gave you going into Madden 17 you know there were several ways to prepare yourself for Ultimate Team. Between the master rewards and all of the rookie collections it was feasible that you started your Ultimate Team this year with a double digit amount of gold or better cards.

One of my goals this year was to tone down the amount of money I have spent on Ultimate Team over the last two years. Thankfully this year is probably the easiest way to get some bang for your buck and generate coins for Ultimate Team. Today I am going to be covering some tips to help you get your year started without spending too much money.

If you are going to spend some money I highly recommend doing so now or at the very beginning of each month of Ultimate Team. Why you ask? With the new Man of the Month and hero promos your packs have never been more valuable in Ultimate Team. Just the other night will on a call with CC and Route Combo we sat there selling off our silver and bronze cards for anywhere between 1,000 to 3,000 coins depending on the team. Every single gold also has value with each team hero collection requiring 5 of them. So assuming you really don’t pull much which let’s be honest is the case most of the time you still have the opportunity to make your 7,500 coins back pretty easily. Sell off all of your gold, bronze and silver players. After you do those put your coaches and playbooks into collections to generate badges. We were easily able to increase our coin level 150k-200k each one of us.

Your next step should be to knock out the solos to begin the year. The gauntlet and Ultimate Season have solid rewards throughout. The great part about this year’s solos is that the majority of the time each segment will let you know how many coins you will receive in advance. You can receive 3 overpowered cards to begin your Ultimate Team H2H journey with AP, Hopkins and Suh being the rewards for each segment of the gauntlet. These are limited time players but only take up 2 contracts every time you lock in a lineup. You can use these players for about 150 games depending on how long your seasons go. You also receive an actionable Joe Haden card. For the Ultimate Season solos you receive a Mike Evans and a Stephen Gilmore along with multiple packs. When you add all that up that means after completing these two segments of solos you will have 6 elite cards to enter into your lineup along with a good amount of coins to use in Ultimate Team.

Another great option to help you build your team without spending a lot of money is to play Draft Champions. I know the thought of playing Draft Champions can be like hearing nails on a chalkboard but the benefits are huge. Not only do you receive the necessary badges needed to finish MUT Master but you also receive two pro packs for each season that you come out victorious. Finally you will move up the leaderboards to qualify for Madden 17 tournaments.

One of our main goals this year is to not only help you on the field but to also help you off the field. Madden Ultimate Team is a mode we all enjoy but it can definitely be costly if you want to be successful. Hopefully this article provided you some insight to help you in your journey of building the best Ultimate Team possible without breaking the bank.

Hopefully you take some of that cash we saved you on building your Ultimate Team and pick up our Tombstone/ Patriot Act guides. Because after all it’s more valuable to be a better Madden 17 player than it is to bull a bundle that gives you a 81 Ovr. as your best pull!
