As we play more and more we get to keep trying new things to stop certain plays in the game. Here we have a new concept on not only stopping QB sneak, but leaving our defender open to make plays for the other goal line runs. This seems to work 2 out of 3 times for popping the QB instantly, so it is not 100%.
In the video we show you the method we use and yes – you can probably adapt this to other formations as well. We totally agree also that manning up the RB and pass committing seems odd, but it forces the DT to attempt to shoot straight ahead.
Additionally if you wanted something thats better vs QB sneak but horrible vs other runs….you can try running FG Load Block right. Just pinch the line and the QB will get hit. However if they run toss or power o you’re screwed.
