In the world of buying a Madden eBook it can sometimes be difficult to make a choice on who to buy from. The choices are vast, and growing exponentially each August when someone has had a decent Madden year and thinks they can now sell their own content for a quick buck. Unfortunately this muddies the waters for consumers out there and makes the decision much more overwhelming that it needs to be.

As much as we would love to tell who not to buy from in this article, this wasn’t written to bash on specific competitor websites. Instead, this article is intended to educate you on some things to look for when choosing the content purchase to increase the likelihood of the content being something that can help you.

So here are five things to look for when buying eBooks;

  1. Longevity- How long have these people been around?
  2. Content Dedication- Do they historically run their own content?
  3. Customer Support- Are they easy to reach if I run into a problem?
  4. Proven Results- Do they have success stories?
  5. Price- Is the content reasonably priced?

  • LONGEVITY

Step one would be to identify how long the people you are about to purchase from have been in the competitive community, and even more so, how long they have been creating content within the community.

You want to choose your content from someone that has been around and has been successful year in and year out. Each Madden season sees a new group of players that make their appearance on the competitive scene, and from that group each year a handful decide to sell their own content.

The sad truth is that a high percentage of this group ends up being not so good at the following version of Madden. This results in one of two things usually, they either fade back into obscurity, or they continue to push themselves on the scene selling sub-par content to the masses.

At MaddenTurf we have a team that has a combined 10 years of experience creating content within the Madden community, a combined 16+ years of playing Madden at a high level, and a website that has improved and grown tenfold from year one to year two. Longevity……..check!

  • CONTENT DEDICATION

We cannot tell you how many times we have seen other guide sellers that run nothing of their own in actual games. Let’s really think about that for a second, if they are not confident enough in their product to run it, they why on earth should you buy it?

The fact of the matter is that it is easy to sit in practice mode and come up with something that works against the CPU. Literally anyone can do it. Translating that play or scheme to an actual game situation is a horse of a different color.

Sometimes this results from the route combinations on a given setup not being as clean of a read once a user is involved, or many times too many routes heading the same direction that make lurking your read easy. On defense maybe the setups are too long, or the pressure has huge holes and is easy to pick up.

Each and every member of the TurfTeam ran the very same content that we produced all year long, evidenced by watching any of our videos. The only slight exception to that would be that when we created the SF Defensive Guide, we actually ran Baltimore because the 3-3-5 stuff from our CINCY and NE guides was too good to give up and Baltimore offered us both groups of content. • CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Communication between buyer and seller is huge. EBay has built their entire business model around it because of how important it is. Most people or groups that sell Madden content have some means of contact, be it twitter, email, console, or whatever else. The problem lies when using these means of contact garner no response.

The Madden community is notorious for creating celebrity like diva egos. And many times, this results in people being ignored or not responded to. We personally don’t agree with this in any scenario, but especially in a scenario where someone has given their money to this person, only to be treated like a second class citizen after the sale.

We offer many different means of contact, and respond to everyone that contacts us. In an effort to take that accessibility even further this year, we added a live chat box to the site (you must be logged in to use it) and will be adding several new members to the support team this year to ensure that you can reach someone from MaddenTurf at almost all times. • PROVEN RESULTS

At the end of the day people buy Madden content to get better at the game. A large part of that success is reliant on you. The guides and tips are simply the tools to help you achieve that success. With all of that being said, if the person or group you are thinking of buying from doesn’t have any success stories it wouldn’t be very rational of you to think that you would be the first.

Just to be clear, when we say success stories, we are not talking about testimonials. Testimonials are nice, and they do help sell guides, but when all is said and done they are just people that like you that are willing to write down a few words to help you further your agenda.

When we say success stories, we mean proven, documented evidence, of people that use your content being successful with it. This can be along the lines of tournament wins, ranking on the leaderboard, win/loss ratios, etc.

We are quite confident that while there are other sites out there that have proven success stories, not a single one of them in our opinion shares the same level of proven success that MaddenTurf has had along with our customers. Here are some of the accolades;

  1. Madden 25- 4 MUT Invitational Qualifiers on the Team (HaShugz, Kilo, Toke, GodzThumbz)
  2. Madden 15- 11 Top 100 Ranked Players That Used Our Content (Very Long List)
  3. Madden 15- The Number 1 Ranked MUT Player Most of the Year (Snaponic)
  4. Madden 15- TurfTeam Member Picked for Team Duracell (HaShugz)
  5. Madden 15- TurfTeam Combined Record of 19-2 Against the Other #1 Ranked Player (Poker)
  6. Madden 15- TurfTeam Combined Record of 13-3 Against Staff From Other Madden Sites

  • PRICE

Last but certainly not least, is price. We put price last because while it is important, you also can’t negate the effect quality has on price. Within the Madden community you have people and groups selling guides that range in price from about $5.00 all the way up to $30.00.

With their being such a huge disparity between the price ranges it really falls on you to determine what gives you the best bang for your buck. We don’t want to say that all $5 guides are garbage because they’re not, and we don’t want to say that all $30 guides are good, because they’re not.

In our opinion it really boils down to finding quality content at a FAIR price. That being the gray area that it is, you can decide what is fair for you. In our opinion a guide should NEVER exceed $20 in price, except maybe on the rare occasion that it is one of those one-time purchase deals with yearly updates.

MaddenTurf’s price point for guides this year will be as follows;

  1. Offenses: $14.99
  2. Defenses: $17.99
  3. Mini-Schemes: $7.99

Price, in our humble opinion……..check!

Now obviously we did our best to show you that we meet all of that criteria because this is after all our website, and we want to sell you content. Even if you don’t buy from us however, make sure to find a place that meets the criteria above so that you know you are getting quality from your money.
